The converter slide slag prevention system primarily consists of a slide slag prevention mechanical system, an infrared slag detection system, a hydraulic drive system, and a media transmission system.
The mechanical system is installed at the converter tapping port. The infrared slag detection system automatically detects slag formation, and non-contact monitoring provides real-time monitoring of the tapping process. When slag formation is detected, an alarm is immediately issued and a signal is sent to the hydraulic system. The media transmission system transmits power and protects the mechanical system, enabling the slide to be quickly opened and closed to prevent slag.

Hydraulic drive system

Description:
※ The power source required by the mechanical system is provided by a nearby hydraulic station through a rotary joint channel.
※ The infrared slag detection system sends a signal to the hydraulic system, which drives the mechanical system to open or close the slide. The time from signal reception to completion of the action is generally designed to be 0.7-0.9 seconds.
※ The hydraulic station is designed for a maximum system pressure of 25 MPa and a standard operating pressure of 18 MPa.
